Seven Months!

Olivia is growing so fast! She is pushing through the feet of 9 month pajamas and her pants are looking like capris. Because it's so much fun to buy her clothes, I'm not too bothered by it. As you can see Liv is now sitting up on her own and she enjoys lunging quickly towards whatever it is she wants. She's going to be quite mobile soon and we're not at all ready. She remains a sweet, clever and warm child. She loves to read, put things in her mouth, play with tags and texture, dance to some good beats and chats regularly to an audience that will listen. And look at those curls!

First Thanksgiving

We went to LA for Thanksgiving, and O had her first flight. No drama! She had a good time with her aunt, uncle, cousin, grandparents and the Adlers. We also got a quick visit in with Di, Don and Kenji. How sweet!

October and November

So the fall has been busy and I have slacked on my blogging. Here are some pictures of key events in Olivia's life. She took a trip to Redding, her Mimi and Zayde came to visit, she was a lamb for her first Halloween, and she had her first solid food. And her hair is growing back as her eczema wanes!

five months continued

Just more pictures. Enjoy!

five months old

O continues to be sweet, cute, and curious. She has spent a good part of the month being amazed at her hand. As you can see, she holds it in front of her face and opens and closes it. Then she'll move her hand to the side and do the same thing. She's also ready to move. If she were not in the brace I think she'd roll off the changing table. At night she scoots ninety degrees, bumps her head on the crib rail and wakes us all up to see her progress! Thankfully, she pretty much sleeps through the night (10-7) with a little comforting every now and then. She's cooing and 'talking', giggling and smiling, and gives an occasional cry when she needs something. It's been a great month watching her grow. Her eczema is calming down and she is also out of the brace for eight hours a day! Now she parties in her exersaucer and we get to snuggle her close (and she's a pound lighter).

I had to post these. Look at those cheeks on my little ladybug!

four months!

Olivia has grown quite a bit in the last month. She's 15 lbs 7 oz and 25 inches. When she's not sucking her fingers, she loves to "talk", giggle and coo and constantly engages friends and strangers alike with her winning smile. The brace has made it difficult for tummy time and her regular aerobic routine on the Gymini, but she has started to grasp objects and take the pacifier out of her mouth (can't put it back in yet). After about 7 different doctor visits (dermatologist, allergist, pediatric dermatologist, pediatric allergist, naturopath, and pediatrician), we think we've got the eczema under control allowing Olivia to sleep much more comfortably (and us to sleep a litle bit more!). It's been a great summer with our little angel baby.

A Visit from Mimi and Zayde

Olivia was snuggled, held, rocked, entertained and loved by her grandparents. Joey and I even got to go on a date one night while Mimi held a very itchy Olivia in the glider for hours. As you can see the brace hasn't slowed this little one down, or stopped her from being a very sweet and happy girl.

3 months...and 2 days

She's a beauty...though a hairless and toothless wonder. O remains a happy baby while fighting eczema (really bad eczema). She faces all the ointments and creams like a champ. Our little Buddha baby has found her fingers, loves sitting up to see the world, and is developing some strong neck muscles.
